The Police Unity Tour was founded in 1997 when 18 riders, led by Pat Montuore, pedaled over 300 miles to the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington DC with the hope of bringing public awareness of Police Officers who have died in the line of duty and to honor their sacrifices. As the years progressed, the Police Unity Tour grew so additional chapters were created to address the growing number of riders that wanted to participate in the Police Unity Tour. Chapter II was created to represent the riders from South Jersey.  As Chapter II’s membership started to grow almost beyond its capacity, several board members saw the need to expand into a Chapter which represented central New Jersey.  In 2014, those members approached the National Board of the Police Unity Tour and asked to form a Chapter representing Central New Jersey.  The National Board Members, including Pat Montoure and Harry Philips, agreed that there was a need to expand, granted our request and Chapter 10 was created.  Chapter II continues to represent South Jersey and Chapter 10 joins them on their ride through Delaware en route to Washington DC, as we both continue to grow and expand.  We look forward to your help and support.  If you are a member of the Law Enforcement Community, we hope you will consider participating in our annual Police Unity Tour Chapter 10 ride which will depart on May 9th every year.
